On a hot afternoon Rhiannon was driving her old van down the highway. As she 1 her window to let in some fresh air, her car registration paper blew off the sun visor (防晒板) and onto the floor inside. When leaning down to 2 it, she accidentally drifted into oncoming traffic, in panic, she over-corrected and pulled the 3 sharply in the other direction. 4 , the van rolled over three times, and Rhiannon was thrown onto the road, lying in the middle of the road and bleeding, nearly 5 .

A medical student witnessed the accident and came to her 6 . He covered Rhiannon with his coat and gave her emergency first aid, including 7 the wound on her left arm before the ambulance arrived.

8 , Rhiannon was rushed to a hospital where an emergency room doctor spent hours 9 all the pieces of windshield (挡风玻璃) from her arm, and gave her three dozen stitches (缝针).

Luckily, Rhiannon was saved. Not for the bandage, she would not have 10 long enough for the emergency personnel to arrive. Though Rhiannon didn't know him, she was grateful to the medical student who saved her life. So she 11 the words online, "It's a pity that I don't know your name. If you happen to see or hear this story and recognize yourself, thank you for your kind 12 ."

Rhiannon also had a message for the other 13 heroes, "Please consider this a pay-it-forward letter of 14 —a letter from the 15 you helped who, for whatever reason, couldn't thank you themselves."

One summer afternoon decades ago, Dad and I explored a recreational park on a boat. The gentle lake around and the clear sky overhead provided slight relief from the August 1 . Sitting back with my eyes closed, I 2 Dad rowing (划) quietly.

Suddenly a(n) 3 , desperate buzzing (嗡嗡) came from the right side of my head. I sat up straight and looked around instantly. On my 4 landed a bee marked by bright black and yellow bands on the body. I, frozen in extreme 5 , sat there with my eyes 6 as big as saucers.

"What? Was Dad telling me to just let a terror sit on my shoulder?" Gradually I gained my 9 and turned my head slowly, giving it a look. There it sat, wings folded neatly against its body. I was 10 by how perfectly formed it seemed. Finally, my curiosity 11 my fear and I relaxed. No sooner had I done that than it began spreading its wings and 12 off.

"I've told you." he simply said.

My father is no longer alive, but the 13 of that moment has taken root in my heart. For the first time I've 14 the fact that we are all one, all part of the same 15 , small or big, human or insect.

Monique Marshall knew she had to do something for her mother after her stepfather passed away. Monique's mother, Karin, who is 84 years old, was living in her apartment in New York City 1 , about 2,500 miles away from Monique in Los Angeles.

Monique 2 she had to do something for her mother. 3 , Monique's husband, Demille, was all on board, willing to do anything to 4 Karin in her advanced age. That's when Monique and Demille brainstormed with their friends and neighbors, Pierre and Carmen, who happened to be 5 .

After much thought and planning, they 6 a solution of a "glam garage (豪华车库)". Monique and Demille decided to turn their old and drafty 7 into an apartment space for Karin. But as is always the case with any construction project, they encountered 8 . However, it was nothing too big that kept them from completing the 9 . And the results are 10 !

Karin is in love with her new living space and new city. When Karin first 11 into her glam garage apartment in Los Angeles, she couldn't 12 her eyes.

"It was overwhelming," said Karin. "I was so 13 . Monique had done all the furniture. I didn't have to do anything."

Jen is a 39-year old community dancer with Down's Syndrome(唐氏综合征). She is the founder of Dance Syndrome, a nonprofit organization that brings together 1 dancers and make them feel equal to everyone.

Dancing has always been in her veins. As a young girl, Jen seized every opportunity to dance with full 2  both in the morning and during her 10 minutes of 3  before bedtime. The dynamic workout would keep her 4  all day long.

Life hasn't been straightforward for Jen. She was 5 by a number of dance clubs in primary school and encountered numerous 6 while pursuing her passion for dance. Despite these challenges, her ambition to share her love for dance and 7 disabled individuals in the art grew stronger.

After leaving school at 18, Jen spent over 10 years searching 8  for opportunities to be trained as a dance leader. Eventually, she had to give up and decided to try her own way, not knowing where it might lead!

Despite the 9 , Dance Syndrome was established in 2009. Jen and her fellow disabled dance leaders took 10  of the charitable organization, working alongside non-disabled dance artists who helped them work more professionally.

Over the decade, Dance Syndrome has 11 thousands of disabled dancers, cultivating an environment where every person is recognized as equal, 12 and accepted for who they are. The year 2019 witnessed Jen 13 for the third time as a member of Shaw T rust's Disability Power 100. She is a living proof that 14 can come from unexpected places and that disabled individuals can 15 society in extraordinary ways.

When my grandmother was a teenager, her family moved to Transylvania. To make money, she began 1 in a bakery(面包店). For two or three years, she threw herself into  2 desserts and became an excellent baker. It was there that she met my grandfather, got  3 , and had two children: My mother and my uncle. 

    My grandparents treated us very well as kids, especially when it came to 4 . We often stayed with them on the weekends and as an excellent cook with a 5 tooth, my grandmother always made sure to serve dessert after every single meal. It became a  6 for her to make us a different dessert every Sunday. Of all the desserts, my sister Adriana and I  7 papanasi, a traditional Romanian dessert made of sweet cow cheese(奶酪)，best. 

After moving to Canada when I was a young girl, my family found it 8 to find a suitable cheese for the recipe (食谱）for papanasi. Back in Romania, there was always fresh cow cheese at the farmers market, and we could 9 buy this cheese. When I 10 my baking skills like my grandmother and finally found the 11 cheese, the recipe turned out just right. It was like I could see her clapping(鼓掌)and 12 in the room with me. 

   My grandmother passed away when I was 9. Over the years, baking has become my way of 13 her. Every time I make papanasi I 14 her. 

    Family recipes and the love within them are not limited to space and time. The years may pass, but through this recipe, we' ll always 15 each other.
