England is an island country in the sea. It lies in the west of Europe. It is divided by the English Channel (海峡) in the south between England and France. The North Sea is on the east of it. Its official (正式的) name is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

    England has a long history culture. Shakespeare is regarded as the greatest writer in the English language in the world. The education is very famous in the world such as the universities of Oxford and Cambridge.

    The main sport in England is football, It's also the most popular sport in England. It is played in primary schools, middle schools and universities, and people play it in cities, towns and villages every week. The best time to play football lasts from the beginning of April to the end of September.

    There are many beautiful places of interest in England, The River Thames is a great river in England. It flows through southern England. The Tower Bridge of London is well-known in the world. Big Ben is on the Palace of Westminster. The London Eye is on the south bank of the River Thames. You can sit in the London Eye to enjoy the whole London. You can find all kinds of treasures from around the world in the British Museum. Tourists come to England from all over the world. You can travel the United Kingdom to feel natural and cultural beauty.

    We spent a few days in Paris last week. We visit the famous city quite regularly. After all, it only takes three hours from London to Paris. It's always a pleasure visiting places we really like, exploring areas we've never been to.

The only unlucky thing this time was the weather. As soon as we got there the temperature reached almost 35 ℃ (which lasted until we left). It's not as busy as the shop on rue Bonaparte so you can choose whatever you like without worrying about a queue behind you! I really enjoyed his bread this time as well as the cakes. And I must say that his Croissant aux Amandes and Bostock were simply the best I've ever had.

Canberra is the capital of Australia. It is a modern and lively city with a population of over 400,000.

It is over 200 km away from Sydney and over 600 km away from Melbourne which was once the capital of Australia. People in Sydney also wished to make their city the capital. It was difficult for the government to make the decision. Then in 1908, the government chose a place to build the new capital. In 1927, the city was set up. It became the capital and was named Canberra. "Canberra" means "a place to get together".

    The Nobel Prize went to Brian Schmidt in 2011 and the one before him is Elizabeth Helen Blackburn. Brian Schmidt was born on 24 February 1967 in the USA. When he was studying at Harvard University, he met his future wife. Jennifer ML Gordon. She is an In 1994. Brian Schmidt decided to move to Australia , he began to call Australia home. In 2011, he shared the Nobel Prize in Physics together with two Americans.

    Elizabeth Helen Blackburn was born on 26 November 1948 in Australia Now she works as a researcher at the University of California in the USA. For her work, she was given the 2009 Nobel Prize in Physiology (生理学) or Medicine. sharing it with two other people.
