Sometimes
Sometimes I feel lonely, Like I'm by myself with no one here. When I'm that way, I call a friend. My lonely mood soon disappears (消失). Sometimes I feel excited, Like I have some news to share! My friends open their ears to me. They always listen, talk, and ________. Sometimes I feel so sad, Like my world is cold and darkest blue. At those time my friends let me know , They're with me, standing strong and true. Sometimes I feel mixed up, Like I just don't know how I should feel. My friends then help me figure out, What's right and wrong; what's false and real! |
It was my first day at school. I felt nervous. I went to all my classes with no friends. I felt like no one cared about me.
I listened carefully to all the lessons and waited for lunch time at one o'clock. Finally, the bell rang. It was time to talk and have fun. In the lunch line, I met a new friend from Saudi Arabia(沙特阿拉伯), and though I am Jewish, we got along well. I was so happy when she said, "Sit with us at our table. "She pointed to the one next to the door.
So I agreed. I took my dish and was going to walk with her across the floor, when someone suddenly stopped me. "Hey, I saw you on the bus, "said a tall girl in a long skirt. "I see your Jewish star necklace(项链). You should sit with us. "
At that moment 1 looked around. The Spanish only sat with other Spanish, the Russians always with Russians and never the Arabs with Jews.
I knew why the war(战争) started. Everyone sticks to (坚持)his or her own kind. The lunchroom was like a map of the world. Why was everyone so blind?
I didn't go with this tall girl, but went with the first, and she was friendly to me. I built a bridge bet ween two worlds when I sat with those different from me.
Money can make you happy, only if you spend it in a clever way.
Buying a new car makes you happy. However, you will forget the feeling when the car gets old. But if you spend a week travelling, it's more possible that you'll remember the great experiences, and you'll remember the feeling for a long time. A new study has found that spending money on experiences makes people happier than on material things.
For material things, it's possible that you'll care about every little thing. If you buy a nice pen, and someone else buys one with less money, it's possible that you may be unhappy because you spend more money. When it comes to experiences like trips, you won't think like that. 1f the experience is generally good, you will be happy with the price.
Material things can be compared more easily. If you buy an MP5 and then see a more suitable one, you may regret (后悔) buying the first one. However, if you have a nice dinner at one restaurant, and then learn about another better restaurant, you'll not regret the first meal.
Material things can cause jealousy (嫉妒). For example, if you buy a new toy and find that your friend has a better toy, you'll feel unhappy. Instead, if you travel to a beautiful place, then no matter where your friends have gone, it won't make the memory of your trip less happy.
Many people come to Betty's birthday party. They (握手) hands with each other when they come in. They (看起来) very happy with big smiles on their faces. Betty stands (在……之间) her friends. She has long (金色的) hair. She is really (秀丽的) today. Next to her is her best friend Cindy. She wears a lovely sweater. It feels (柔软的) and comfortable. She seems (更高) than Betty. Look at that middle-aged man. He is well-built with (眼镜) on his nose. He's Betty's uncle. All the people are singing songs now. The songs (听起来) really nice. The big cake on the table (闻起来) fresh. I can't wait to eat it!
A nine-year-old boy touched the hearts of the officers at the Chengguan Town Police Station after he donated(捐赠) 80.3 yuan. He hoped to do something for Hubei General Hospital.
Ma Yunhu, a third-grade pupil at a primary school in Ningxia, visited the station on February 9th with his mother, and gave away all his pocket money to the Officer Ma Xiaojun.
"I want to donate my pocket money to the doctors and nurses at Hubei General Hospital because they really work hard in fighting against the novel coronavirus (新型冠状病毒), "the boy told the police officer.
Officer Ma was moved by the boy and he gave the boy's money to the hospital by WeChat. "Thank you very much, little boy! Although we don't know your look, we have kept you in mind. We will try harder to defeat the virus as soon as possible," the doctors and nurses at the hospital replied.

Being shy means feeling afraid when you're around other people. Some children were1shy. Some become very shy later because of their life experiences. 2 , everybody gets a little shy sometimes. It's just3 they feel shy.
Most people have red faces and talk in 4 sentences when they are shy. But some become 5shy that they won't go to a restaurant because they are too nervous to6 and pay for their food. Some are afraid of meeting7people, so they seldom go outside. This kind of shyness can be8 for a person.
If shyness doesn't stop you 9doing something you want to do, being shy won't be a big 10. Some experts (专家) say shy people are good at 11because they think more and12 less. But remember not to13good opportunities (机会) pass you by just because of it. If you have to14a song at a birthday party or give some performances in front of others, just do it. There's15to be afraid of.
We are happy at times, but sometimes we're sad or angry. Showing your (feel) is important. It is a mistake not (talk) with anyone while you're feeling sad, worried or nervous. If you keep bad feelings inside, they can even make you ill.
But if you talk with someone, . Your mum or dad, you'll usually begin to feel (well) than before. Now you're not all alone with your problems or worries. However, it doesn't mean your problems and (worry) will disappear magically (神奇地). But, at least, someone else (understand) what's the matter with you and can help you find ways of (solve) your problems.
Your mum and dad want to know it you have problems. They love you they want to know what's happening in your life. But if you don't want to talk with them, should you do? Find a believable (可信任的) teacher at school or a relative. Maybe that person can help you deal with your problems. Then you'll feel happy as before.
When I was a child, I was shy, quiet and fat. And that made me never get on with any friends around me. Almost no one used to talk to me or invite me to parties. I always lived in my own world.
What was worse was that someone always bullied (欺负)me, even my closest "friend". One day after school, an older boy kept calling me "Fat Boy" all the way home on the bus. I was shy and afraid, and wanted to cry. At that time, I hoped my best friend sitting behind me might standup to help me. However, he jumped up and also laughed at me. You must know how I was feeling then!
And later I became older and got to know what I should do. I started exercising more and eating less. And I kept working hard to get better grades at school. Just half a year later, I was much thinner and healthier. And I was atop student in our class, too. Quickly, I became one of the most popular students in school.
Being fat isn't a crime(罪过). However, you can't stop other people from laughing at you. So you must do something to help yourself. Remember that only you can bring yourself hope and success.
