My dad always tells my sister and me to help others. One day last week, when I was walking back to my home, I saw an old woman who seemed to be in trouble (麻烦). I asked if she was OK. She said that she was ill and had to walk with her shopping bags. I offered (主动提出) to carry her things and walk back home with her, but she refused because she didn't want to give me any trouble. I told her that it didn't matter because her home was on my way home (In fact, it was not true). As I walked home with her, she introduced (介绍) herself and I in turn told her my name. “Do you know Ray Robert, boy?” she asked. I was very surprised and said yes, that was my dad. It turned out that this woman was my dad's old neighbor. She once looked after my dad and his sisters when my grandma died thirty years ago. My dad sometimes spoke of her but I had never met her because she moved away with her family. When I got home, I told my dad what happened. He cried. I was so moved (感动的). I was glad that my small kindness brought a chance meeting (偶遇) that meant so much to two people.
