Imagine walking around a fashion store. You see a beautiful leather bag and want  it. But in fact, it's made from recycled fruit and food waste. Would you still buy it?

Song Youyang, a 30-year-old material designer, works on developing products. She studied material design at a university in Germany and now lives in China.  she was designing some new products, she couldn't find any suitable biomaterials (生物材料) to work with. So, she and her team decided to develop  own new material from fruit waste.

The resulting material  a lot like leather. It keeps the fruits' texture (质地), sense of touch and nice smell. Song and her team have used this new material to make fashion  , such as bags, lamps and so on.

The designer thought these products would be . But in fact, not many customers have bought them. "Many people have their old ideas about biomaterials," said Song. "They think these materials are too expensive or of  quality." As a result, it's quite difficult for these materials to become  used. But Song still believes biomaterials will shape the . She and her team will  working on new types of "green" materials and products.

Besides Song's team, many other fashion companies are  working towards the same goal. They are showing us that fashion can be environmentally friendly.

It shows just how much Chinese people  growing vegetables. China has a lot of available land for planting things. For , Chinese people made a living through farming. The Book of Songs《诗经》, written 2,500 years ago, records many  of vegetables.

Nowadays, even though some Chinese people no longer have a lot of land, they still grow vegetables  they can. Xue Ling, 35, is one of them. Since 2010, she has been planting vegetables on the balcony (阳台) of  apartment in Jinan, Shandong province. "It's the only way to keep my food, at least the vegetables, clean and ," she said. Caroline Ma from Hong Kong grows vegetables  a hobby. In 2020, Ma started farming on her rooftop and  planting seeds that she collected during her travels. For Ma,  is a meditative (冥想的) experience. "I am in my own little world and I can forget about my problems," she said.

It seems that planting vegetables brings  than just food for Chinese people.

Life in space is much different from life on the earth. How do astronauts live in space?

Eating

In the past, astronauts  (eat)only small pieces of dried food. But now astronauts are able to have more everyday food like fruit, vegetables and ice cream.

Sleeping

All the people in the ISS(国际空间站) have  (they) own rooms. They have to tie (绑) themselves to their beds, or they'll fly away! That seems like  strange way to sleep. But astronauts say it's not so bad 

 (sleep) in space.

Exercising

This is  (important) in space than on the earth. Astronauts exercise on bikes and other machines 

 ab out two hours every day. In this way, they can be healthy when they get back home.

Having Fun

Astronauts can read books, play cards, listen to music or send emails to their friends and families  they aren't working. Sometimes they just sit and look out of the window  (quiet). It's also much fun!

Astronauts are hard-working whether in space or on the earth. the work sometimes is difficult, they still show interest in it and love the job. Many students think  (astronaut) lives is very funny and they also want to be astronauts in the future.
