Today was Holi, the festival of colors! The day kicked off with Mom's mouth-watering gujiyas, those sweet, deep-fried Indian dumplings. The smell itself was a joyful wake-up call.
At 8 a. m., I put on my old clothes because I knew they would get all colorful. I said "Happy Holi" to everyone, and they applied(涂抹)bright colors on my cheeks. I looked like a rainbow!
By 10 a. m., there had already been so many kids in the neighborhood park. We had water guns and balloons filled with water and colored powders(粉末). We ran around and sprayed or threw the colored water at each other. I got totally wet and colorful, and so did everyone else.
At noon, we were all super hungry after playing so much. We returned home. Mom had prepared a special Holi lunch. We had puris(small, round, flat pieces of bread), thandai(a milk-based sweet drink)and sweets. I ate so much. It was like a food festival!
As the clock struck 2 p. m., it was time for our next adventure — visiting friends' homes. There, we exchanged sweets and colors. I even met some new friends in the neighborhood.
At 4 p. m., our local temple held a big Holi celebration. People played the drums and we danced to the music. Everyone was dancing and laughing together. It felt like a Bollywood(宝莱坞)movie come to life.
At 6 p. m., it started getting dark. We lit a bonfire called "Holika Dahan". It was to remember a special story about Holi. We threw colored powder into the fire and watched it burn. It was like magic.
At 8 p. m., I took a long bath to wash off all the colors, but some will stick around for a few days. It's actually pretty cool—they will remind me of this colorful day!
It's 9 p. m., and it's time for bed. I'm so sleepy, but I can't stop smiling. Holi is the happiest festival, and I can't wait for next year!

Before I went to high school, I looked forward to starting my new life. I wanted to get into the 1 of popular students at school, so I bought a new outfit(套装)to present a good image for myself.
On the first day of school, I didn't know 2 to have my first class. I was standing in the hall, looking confused(困惑), when a short girl wearing glasses 3 and asked. "Hi, my name is Judy. Are you 4 ? Do you want me to help you find your class?" 5 she seemed not the kind of girl I wanted to make friends with, I told her my name and 6 her, making polite conversation the whole way.
When we reached classroom, she said, "It was nice 7 you, and I hope your day goes all right." I said 8 and waved good-bye.
In the classroom, I saw a big group of students around a girl wearing blue jeans with holes. She was talking about her adventures in summer. I thought this girl was 9 . When the teacher came and told us to have a rest, I managed to get a 10 next to her, and said, "Hi, my name is April and I'm new here." She said, "Hi, I'm Ella."
Once the class was over, I turned to her and asked, "My next class is art. Could you help me find it?" She said "No" 11 and walked to her friend, Molly and Cindy. I heard her say, "Did you see that new girl trying to get into our group? Her outfit is so strange." They all looked at me and 12 .
When I was ready to go home, someone came up and said, "Hi, again. How was your first day?" It was 13 . I told her my day was not good. She said she was 14 and offered to walk me outside.
Walking with Judy made me realize how 15 it was to try to only make friends with popular people, and how nice it would be to have a friend like her.

Many years ago, in a small village, there was a young man. When he was 20 years old, he started posting all kinds of happy or sad stories to each home for 50 kilometers. 20 years flew by, and so many changes took place, but the road from the post office to the village was still empty, without any trees or flowers.
"How long shall I go along this lonely road?" he often asked himself.
As soon as he thought he must spend his life riding the bike on the empty road with no flowers or trees, he felt very sorry.
One day, when he finished posting the letters and was ready to return, he went past by a flower shop. "Right, that's it!" He walked into the shop at once and bought some wild flower seeds happily. Then, after one day, two days, one month, two months... he always kept putting the wild flower seeds along the road.
Before long, on the lonely road, where he came and went every day, a lot of little flowers grew up, in all seasons.
On the road full of lovely petals (花瓣), the postman rode his bike, losing himself in the sweet smell and not feeling lonely any more.
Meet Sora, the cool model from Open AI. It can turn your words into videos like magic! Just tell Sora your idea, and watch it make a video right before your eyes.
How good is it?
Videos created by Sora look good on both computers and mobile phones. Sora can also make videos with lots of people doing different things with clear details (细节). It also knows how things should look in real life.
Why is it so good?
Sora looks at many videos and learns from them by breaking them into very small parts. It uses them to make a new video. The new video is gray at first and very messy (乱糟糟的)—you can't tell what's in it. Then, Sora fixes the video until it looks good and smooth.
Sora also gets help from ChatGPT. It turns the user's short sentences into clear orders. This helps Sora make the video just as you asked.
Is it good enough?
Sora may find "busy" pictures hard to understand when there are too many movements at a time. For example, when a person moves, things around them change. In one video created by Sora, a grandma blows (吹) the candle on a birthday cake, but the flame (火焰) doesn't move. Sora may not be able to tell left from right and mess up a person's leg moves.

Can you imagine turning your school into a farm? This is what we did a few days ago.
Under the "Double Reduction" policy (双减政策), we have many new clubs and after-school . The Happy Farming Club is the most club of all. Students like it very much.
"At first I thought I could only grow some vegetables here." said Zhang Xin, a club member. "However, I found that I also learned a lot about farming." After studying the crops (庄稼) like rice and corns (玉米), we to grow them. "My group tried growing some ." said Zhang. "First, we put them under the soil (土壤) . Then we covered them soil and watered them. A few days later, they grew stronger and stronger. It made happy. Other groups grew many different kinds of vegetables. We want to tell them apart (区分) we set up some boards with vegetables' names on them. The school looks like a small farm now.
"In the long of our school, we are the first to grow vegetables." said Zhang. "This is really a experience! I'll never forget it."

Strawberries look nice, but a light pressure (压力) can make them out of shape. Now, there are many kids who are just like strawberries. They easily give up when they face difficulties. They don't know what to do when they are in trouble. They have a common name —"strawberry kids".
Why are many kids so easy to give up? Parents do almost everything for them in their daily life and never say "No" to them.
Liu Yue, a 13-year-old boy, always feels good about himself and his parents never say anything about his wrong actions. When someone is strict with him, he always feels surprised and sad.
Kids should do something to make themselves strong. An expert (专家) said, "When you are in trouble, don't ask for help too quickly. You should try to solve the problems first by yourself."
Growing up is not just about happiness. Pains also go along with it. The most important thing is to face the pains bravely and learn from them.
There was a girl from a very rich family. One day her father took her to the country to show her what a 1 life people there lived. Then she could treasure their happy life. So they arrived at a farm of such a family and 2 some days there. On the way back home, the father asked his daughter if she liked the trip.
"Oh, yes. It was great." the girl answered.
The father was very surprised and asked, "Did you 3 how people live there?"
"Yeah, I did." said the girl.
The father asked his daughter to 4 the differences between her life and those people's life. "Well...we have only one dog, and they have four dogs. In our garden, there is a pool, while they have a 5 with no end. We've got hundreds of expensive lanterns, but they have thousands of beautiful stars above their heads at night." With a bright smile, the daughter answered 6 .
She continued, "We have only a small piece of land, while they have large 7 . We buy food from others, 8 they plant and enjoy their own food. Thank you, Dad, for letting me 9 how poor we are."
The girl's words made the father feel 10 . He could not say a word but hung his head. He finally realized what happiness was.
