Wang Yue is from Guangzhou. She to London last year with her parents. She found there were so many  between the two cities. It was  when Wang Yue first got to London. However, she saw quite a few people taking umbrellas with them. People in Guangzhou never do this on such a nice day. The next morning, Wang Yue  up early. She could hear birds  outside the window. Wang Yue and her parents  English food in a restaurant. None of them  the English food. They thought food in Guangzhou tasted much better. 

When Wang Yue started her  life in London, her English was not very good. She kept  with her new classmates and she kept a in English at night. That helped her a lot. Wang Yue loves her new school very much because there are so many interesting activities and different kinds of food for students, including (包括) Chinese food. 

Other things can  carry messages. For example, a sign at the bus stop helps you to know which bus to take. A sign on the wall of your school helps you to find the library. Signs on doors tell you where to go in or out. Have you ever noticed that there are a lot of signs around you and that you receive messages from them ? 

People can communicate in many other ways. An artist can use his  to tell about beautiful mountains, about the blue sea and many other things. Books are written to tell you about all the wonderful things in the world and also about people and their ideas. Books, magazines, TV and radios and films all help us to communicate with each other. They all help us to know what is  in the world and what other people are thinking about. 

Do you think it necessary to know something about people's communication ways? When you speak ,write a letter, make a phone call, your carry a message . People communicate with words.

Do you think you can communicate without words? A on your face shows you are happy or friendly. Tears in your eyes tell others that you are sad. When you you hands in class, your teacher knows you want to ask or answer questions. You your hand, and people know you are saying "No". You nod and people know you are saying " Yes".
