If a person lost an arm, how could he or she still play basketball? Zhang Jiacheng, a 15-year-old Chinese boy from Yunfu city, Guangdong Province, did it and touched everyone.

At the age of five, Zhang lost his right arm in an accident. However, he wasn't afraid and he quickly learnt to use his left arm and hand.

He began playing basketball three years ago. At first, he found even the simplest moves difficult, but he didn't give up. Every day, he played basketball after school with friends no matter what the weather was like. During those days, he broke three basketballs. Two years later, although other players are taller and stronger than him, he plays better than them. "Zhang is a quiet and shy boy, but he changes to another person when he plays basketball. Many people know him now, but few realise the efforts(努力)that went into his skills," said his coach.

"The sport makes me happy and confident. When I touch the ball, I cannot take my hand off," Zhang said. "I want to be a basketball player. I hope that I can play more games and let more people know me."

Below one of his videos, Chinese Basketball Association's 1 all-time leading scorer Yi Jianlian commented ( 评论) that "The heart is always the strongest part of the body and you are the real star in the game". Zhu Fangyu was a national basketball player before and now he is the manager of the Guangdong South China Tiger Basketball Club. He said to the boy, "I never saw a child play basketball better than you. When the CBA season starts, please come and watch our games.

The NBA stars also like the Chinese boy. Stephen Curry from the Golden State Warriors, one of Zhang's favourite basketball players, said online, "Who is this kid? Help me find him! Keep doing it and don't let anyone tell you that you can't. "Zhang responded in excitement, "I will try harder.

"My son found his dream and he works hard for it," Zhang's father Zhang Beiha said. "He makes me proud."

The boy wrote in one of his Tiktok videos, "Give it a try, or give it up." He chose to keep trying. He can be the brightest basketball star in the future.
