How are you? I have a good time (live)in my new neighborhood. There is a (sport)center in it. It's just in front our house,so my mother often goes there swimming. There is a park in my neighborhood. It's not far from my school. I like to spend time playing my friends after school. But my favorite place is the zoo.  (get)here,I usually ride my bike for ten minutes. On Friday evening,my parents and I usually eat out. There(be)three restaurants near my home. Mr. Green's Restaurant is our favorite. Mr. Green is always(friend). The food tastes delicious. Lots of families like to have dinner there.

Some students are talking about what they did last weekend.

We brought some food to them.They were happy to see us when we got there. We helped clean their rooms,sang songs and danced for them. A grandpa was good at telling stories. He told us many stories, and they were interesting and educational(有教育意义的).

The lovely children really wanted to play ping-pong well and some of them dreamed of being stars like Ma Long and Chen Meng. I taught them to play ping-pong in the park.I think I was good with them and they all liked to make friends with me. I wished to be a teacher one day.

It's a smart dog. I liked to play games with it. When I showed it a piece of meat, it stood on its two legs and wagged its tail(摇尾巴). How lovely it was!In the afternoon,I took it for a walk. It was happy to be with me. My neighbor(邻居)said I was a good keeper.

For me, it was not easy to keep standing for a long time. At first, I felt happy to help keep the traffic(交通)going well. But two hours later, I felt tired. The weather was hot and the traffic was so busy that I had no time to rest. How hard the job was!

It took us about two hours to pick up the rubbish(捡垃圾). We all felt tired. But when we saw the tidy neighborhood, we felt very happy. Many people said we did a good job. What a meaningful day!

Do you like exercising in the sun?How much sunlight do you get every day?How much time do you spend in the sun?As we all know, enough sunlight is good for our health. It gives us strong bones and good eyesight. It makes us happy and sleep better. Now scientists find out that it can even make you smarter.

Scientists did tests(实验)on mice. They give mice lots of sunlight. After that,the mice produce a special thing in their bodies. Its name is glutamic acid(谷氨酸). Glutamic acid does many things for our body. It can improve(提高)some of our abilities such as learning and remembering things.

It is OK to enjoy some sunlight for about an hour every day. But you should be careful because it is summer now. The sun is very strong around noon. Keep yourself away from the sun around the noon,or it may burn your skin. It is best to enjoy sunlight in the morning or before sunset.

Why not go out and enjoy the sunlight with your family or your best friends?I'm sure you can be smarter soon.

Is it always good to be in the middle?Sometimes no,like when you're in the middle seat on a long car ride.But when you're in the middle of a great movie it can be fun.What will happen next?Middle school life is a bit like that.

For a kid,going to middle school is often a big change:First,you are going to a new school,and it takes time to get used to it.Second, you may have to make new friends.Third,you will have more teachers and study more subjects.All this can scare you on the first day of school.Here are some tips that will help you.Prepare for day 1,eat breakfast on the big day and try to be brave,and trust yourself that you can do a good job.

Think about what you'll wear.Choose something that you like and feel comfortable in.If you have a school uniform,try it on to see if it fits.Go to bed on time the night before.Try to get a good night's sleep, even if you're very excited.Before going to bed,lay out(摆出)all your stuff.That way,you won't forget anything.

On the big day,eat breakfast.

You need your energy on the big day,so eat a big breakfast.

Try to be brave.

Say"Hi"to your new classmates.In class,listen to what the teacher says and take notes.You can look over(翻阅) them when you get home and prepare for day 2.

Trust yourself.

After a week,you might find life in middle school is fun.You will have new friends and learn more things.What's more,you will be growing up.Trust yourself:You can do well in middle school!
