Nancy is seven years old. Last week, her parents bought her a guitar. She played it all the time because she liked playing the guitar very much. Her parents told her not to play it any more because it was too noisy. Her neighbours all complained about it. Nancy promised, "I will be a good girl. I will do it more quietly. "But it didn't help much. No one could work, no one could rest, and no one could sleep.

One day, Nancy came home and found her parents and her sisters were waiting for her. She saw a violin and a piano in the living room. Nancy was very surprised. "Wow! What are these? " "Well, " her father answered, "we see that we can't beat you, so we decide to join you. "

④Of course, there are also lots of other popular pets. For example, some people like fish because they are quiet. Some people like birds because they can sing beautiful songs.

Philip Middle School is far away from students' home. And there is no 1 at school. For lunch, students there have to 2 some food to school.

Tina is a student at this school. Carol is her best friend. She is from a small village. Her family doesn't have much 3  . For lunch, she only takes some cheap food,4  dry bread and porridge. Also, when Carol has lunch, she 5  makes Tina surprised because she always picks out(摘出) the 6  from the food first.7  makes Tina think her mother must be not tidy.
