Here is something amazing about the animal—bats.

Birds can fly and bats can, too. But is a bat a kind of bird? They are different animals.

A bat has four legs. A bird has only two. Bats have teeth and birds have no. Bats have large ears, but bird's ears are only holes in the head.

All bats likes to eat insects. They eat at night and sleep in the daytime. In the evening bats are busy flying and catching insects. Its legs help it to fly and a piece of skin joins them together. It's just like a wing.

Some people think bats can't see. In fact it is not true. Bats have eyes, but cannot see well. Bats have better ears than men have. They can hear things which people can't. They can feel where a thing is. That is why the bat can fly about in the evening.

Many animals use some special kinds of "language" to communicate(交流) with each other. They use signals(信号) and the signals have their own meanings.

For example, when a bee has found some food, it goes 1 its home. It is2 for a bee to tell3 bees where the food is by speaking to them, but itcan do a little dancing. This tells the other bees where the food is and4 it is.

Some animals show how they feel by making sounds. It is not difficult to tellthat a dog is angry 5 it barks. Birds make several different sounds and 6 has its own meaning.
