Our school has many clubs and I am in a great club—environment club. Do you know why our club is great? Because we try to pour Earth. In f, there is a lot of pon Earth. The environment is getting worse and worse. And now we are doing great things. Every day after school, some members of club go around the school and p rubbish into dustbins. Every Saturday and Sunday, we go to clean up the city park. I know it is very ito save the Earth.
Exercise is the best way to stay healthy. But few people get enough exercise. Only 20% of Americans get 150 minutes of physical activity every week. More than 80 million Americans over 6 years old are not active (活跃的).
Many US schools cut (削减) PE classes. Only 15% of schools have this class at least three days a week.
This year, the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) starts an important study. It will show the things happening inside a body after exercise. The NIH hopes to tell people that exercise is a kind of good medicine.
The study will run for six years. It studies a group of about 3,000 people. They are from the 11-year-olds
to the old. The study has shown many nice changes in the body during and after exercise so far.
And the study has also shown that housework can be physical exercise. "Cutting the grass, cleaning rooms, washing the car — all of these are exercise," says a scientist. "Exercise isn't just throwing a ball into a basket."
Do you get angry when your friends sing loudly or when your best friend does not wait for you after school? If you do, you need to control (控制) your feelings and stop getting angry so easily. Getting angry easily can make you lose friends.
Gary Egeberg, an American high school teacher, wrote My Feelings Are Just Like Wild Animals to help you control your feelings. It tells boys and girls how to stay cool when bad things happen to them. The book says getting angry is not a natural way to act. It is just a bad habit, like smoking. The book says you can control your anger easily, and all you have to do is to tell yourself not to be angry.
When a baby falls over, it cries only when people are watching it. Like a baby, you can only get angry if you are sure it is the right thing to do.
The book gives much advice to help you if you get angry easily. Here are the top three.
①Keep a record (记录). Every time you get angry, write down why you are angry. Look at it later and you will see you get angry too easily.
②Ask your friends to stop talking to you when you get angry. This will help you calm down soon.
③Do something different. When you get angry, walk away from the problem. Try to laugh!
