My name is Emily. It's Sunday morning. My parents, my uncle, my sisters and I are all at home. What is my father doing? He is reading a newspaper. He likes reading newspapers. My mother is watering the flowers in the garden. There are some beautiful flowers in it. Some are red, and some are yellow. My uncle is my mother's brother. He is a waiter. He is a basketball fan. And he is good at playing basketball. Now he is watching a basketball game on TV. 

Where are my sisters? Cindy is in the living room. She is listening to the radio. She is fond of pop music. She thinks it is exciting. Nancy is in her room. She has a computer. Now she is surfing the Internet. She is writing an e­mail to her friend. What am I doing? I am doing my homework. 

It's the eve(前夕) of Chinese New Year. Jim's parents are at1 . His father is cleaning the house. His mother is2  delicious jiaozi. They are ready for the3 . And they are waiting for(等待) Jim to come back home, too. 4  is Jim now? He is on the way back home. His parents want him to come back5 . But he meets a woman on the way home. The woman looks worried(焦虑的), and she asks him to6  her. She says she is also going home, but her7  is broken(损坏的). After hearing her words, Jim puts her bike into his car and8  her home.

In the winter vacation, I go to an American middle school with some of my classmates. We have some classes with American students.

During the music class, we sing songs and answer music questions on computer. We can get a gift if we answer ten questions right.

During the art class, the teacher teaches us to fold owls(折猫头鹰) with paper. It's interesting to make things by hand.

We also have an English class. During the class, we listen to the tape and read English books. It's almost the same as we do in China.

I love the PE class. I'm good at jumping rope(跳绳). But my American classmates aren't.

They all stop to watch me jumping. I feel so happy.

There is no ten-minute break(休息)in this school. Students can stand up or speak quietly in class. When they speak loudly, the teacher will stop them.
