your mother doing at home?

一Often at the Thanksgiving Day. 

It's a fine Saturday morning. There are too many people in the park. Some of are young. are old. Some people are playing games over there. Two boys are playingtheir yo-yos. A girl is flying a kite. Two children area toy boat. There is a lake in the park. The water is clean. There are someon the lake. Near the lake a young man is reading. There is a house near the lake. Beside(在…旁边) the house twoare working. A woman is watering the flowers. Look at that big tree. There are some birdsit. Under it are some men. Four of them are playing cards. One of them istwo cats climbing(爬)the tree. What do they want to do? They want tothe birds. Whatcan you see in the park?

We drink tea every day. But more than three hundred years ago most of the people in Europe (欧洲) did not know anything about tea. Some people heard about it, but very few of them knew what to do with it. 

There is a story about an English sailor(水手) who went to countries in the east, the west and the south. He went to India and China. One day he came home and brought(带回) some tea as a gift for his mother. She told her friends about the gift and asked them to a"tea party". When her Friends came to the"tea party"，the old woman gave them brown tea-leaves(茶叶). The old woman's friends began to eatthem. Of course, nobody liked the tea-leaves.

At that time the sailor came in. He looked at the table and said , "Mother，what did you do with the tea?"

"I boiled it，as you said. "

"And what did you do with the water?"

"I threw it away(扔掉), of course, "answered the old woman.

"Now you may throw away the leaves, too"said her son.

It's Sunday morning. Students don't go to school1  their parents don't go to work. Many people2  in the park. Cindy and her3  are in the park, too. 

Where is Cindy? Oh, she is near the river. 4  is she doing over there? She is reading a book. She likes5  books very much. Storybooks are her favorite, so she often6  many of them in the bookshop. 

Paul is Cindy's brother. He is7  eight­year­old boy. Now he is flying a kite8  his father on the grass(草地). 9  are very happy. How about Cindy's mother? Oh, look! She10  to music under a big tree. 

My name is Emily. It's Sunday morning. My parents, my uncle, my sisters and I are all at home. What is my father doing? He is reading a newspaper. He likes reading newspapers. My mother is watering the flowers in the garden. There are some beautiful flowers in it. Some are red, and some are yellow. My uncle is my mother's brother. He is a waiter. He is a basketball fan. And he is good at playing basketball. Now he is watching a basketball game on TV. 

Where are my sisters? Cindy is in the living room. She is listening to the radio. She is fond of pop music. She thinks it is exciting. Nancy is in her room. She has a computer. Now she is surfing the Internet. She is writing an e­mail to her friend. What am I doing? I am doing my homework. 

Ken is an American boy. He is from New York City, but he doesn't live in America now. Where does he live? Now he lives in China with his father and mother. He is interested in Chinese New Year. Now they are getting ready for Chinese New Year. Ken is helping his mother clean the house. Why do they clean the house? In fact, it's a traditional custom(风俗) during the Chinese New Year. 

In China, Chinese New Year is called the Spring Festival. It usually lasts(持续)for fifteen days. Chinese people do some different things each day. Before the Spring Festival comes, they usually clean their houses and make them very clean. In their mind, "cleaning the house" means "sweeping away bad luck". It's an interesting custom, isn't it?
