All residents: Rules for living in Park rise Flats We all want to live comfortably and safely here, so here are a few simple rules which we think all residents should follow. |
Rubbish Rubbish collection is on Tuesdays. Please do not leave rubbish bags out before Tuesday as birds and animals can break into them and they smell. Washing There is a washing line for every flat in the garden next to the car park. Please only dry your washing on these lines so it does not disturb(干扰) people in the ground floor flats. Cleaning The main stairs are cleaned twice a week by the Association, so please try to keep them tidy and clean and do not leave furniture or bags on the stairs or in the hallways. Lights The main lights are on a timer and they stay on for five minutes why you press them. Please tell the Association if any lights are not working. Noise Residents are asked to keep noise to a minimum. Loud music, etc. can disturb other people and the Association will get in touch with you if you make too much noise. Safety Make sure the main outside door is always locked and do not let anyone in to the main building unless you know who they are. Sometimes people try to get in to the main stairs and then break into flats, so do not let people in unless they are coming to see you. Parking Each flat has one car parking space. These are numbered and are at the back of the building. Do not use another resident's space. If you have more than one car you will have to park it on the road. Do not park where you are blocking entrances. Problems If you have any problems or questions, please call the Association at 0800 096 9000. Parkrise Housing Association |
March 25 is called the National Day of Education on the Safety of Elementary and Middle School Students. The theme of the day (这个) year is to give students more knowledge about safety and make (确信) their lives safe.
What can we do to keep (我们自己) safe? Staying calm is the first and most (重要的) rules when facing accidents.
When there is a fire, follow the te2tchers' instruction, leave the classroom (迅速地) and use a piece of cloth to cover your mouth and nose so that you don't breath in (烟雾).
A stampede(蜂拥) is possible (任何地方). The larger a human crowd get, the more likely stampede become. When students around you begin to (推), stand still and try not hold onto something, or stay in a corner (直到……为止) the crowd leaves. If you fall down in a moving crowd, cover your head with both (手).
Playing sports is a lot of rum getting hurt isn't! Before playing sports, you should warm up for 15 to 30 minutes,
A new term has begun. Teachers are worried about the new students, as they like to cellphones or MP3 players to school. What is (bad), some students even use cellphones to surf the Internet in class. Some other students listen to MP3 players when they are having a lesson that they are not interested".
Are these new students really so rude? Mrs Kirk, a professor at Drake University says it's not their fault. , the teachers should be blamed(责备). She first began thinking about students' manners six years . "In my first class, students were sleeping or talking to each other. It seemed that (learn) well had nothing to do with them." She says, "At first, I got worried about this. But then I said to , 'You're giving lessons, and you need to manage this kind of situation. It's time to help them develop some good (habit). 'You know they shouldn't waste time doing nothing when they are young.
Mrs Kirk also (make) a list of suggestions to help the new students:
On the first day, tell students they will learn a lot by listening (careful) in class.
Do not allow them to use cellphones or MP3 players in class.
Tell them how to use cellphones or MP3 players properly(恰当地).
