I am very satisfied with my successful English. Actually, it is along way to success Now I really want to  my past experiences in English learning with other people. 

Since I began to study English, I have been dreaming of speaking English welly have been studying New Concept English really hard. And it  helped me pass CET-6. I often went to the English Corner while at university. In order to get to the English Comer on time, I got up  than usual in the morning and then took a bus to get there. I read English  everyday. I also some difficult words many times. It was boring, but it was really  for my pronunciation I watched CCTV-9 all day t listen to broadcasters speaking English This was the only way I could practice my English listening on TV. This was also my secret to  English well

Then I moved to Canada. Firstly, I went to a local western church(教堂). /It had ESL programs to  the new students' language skills. Secondly, when I did my part-time job, I tried every chance to practice English During that time, I mainly  attention to English listening and speaking, and I made great progress. Now I have more  for a brighter future. 

When my daughterin primary school，she brought home four small twigs （嫩枝） from school to plant.None of them looked very strong，but with hope for the future，I planted themin our backyard that had enough sunlight.Over the years，because of the poor soil，three of them died.Only one survived.

It grew very.It hooked more like a fat bush than a tree.Later，I noticed thatwas starting to die.The lower branches（树枝）were becoming bare.Only the top third of the tree was still，green.I did my best to save it by feeding it a lot of fertilizer（肥料），but it didn't.

Later one morning，I went out and looked at it again.I was wondering whether it would be better to just cut it down.It would make the yard look cleaner.As I walked over to take alook at it，however，I noticed somethingwithin the leaves.It was a robin （知更鸟）patiently building a nest in the topmost branches.I smiled when I heard thesong.I thought maybe this old tree was still useful.It might not be or pretty，but it was still giving a bird a home.

This tree reminded me that all of our lives have a purpose.It doesn't matter if we are young and strong or old and sickly.Until our last，we have things to do，love to give，and joy to share.We can help to make this world a better and more beautiful place.

A children's choir（合唱团） from Hebei Province sang the Olympic Anthem in Greek （希腊语） at the opening and closing ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.They sang thebeautiful song in the world. The 44 members of the choir from primary schools in Fuping County.When watching the performance given by the children，78﹣year﹣old Deng Xiaolan，thoseteacher, said she would like to share the exciting news with her father.He once worked in Malan Village, Fuping County，and he could totally his daughter's feeling.

Deng had been traveling often to Fuping to teach music as a volunteer since 2004.It took her at least seven hours to the village from Beijing.Although she was faced with different challenges，Deng found that the children were and were able to sing a song after having just a few lessons.

Deng alsodifferent musical instruments to the village so that the children could learn music to the fullest.In 2013，Deng held a concert by in Malan Village in order to let her young students feel the magic of music.While the children were learning the Olympic Anthem，Deng learned the song with them together and helped the Greek language teacher find more usefulfor the children to remember the lyrics.

Deng Xiaolan，who was born in Fuping，has led the children from the small village to the center of the world stage.

Kids did incredible things in 2022.From fighting against pollution to spreading，kids were leading the way.Let's look back at two of the amazing kids we met in 2022.

Raphael de Fages de Latour，11

Each year，around 360 tons ofare found in the Seine River.For over two years，Raphael and his dad have spent their weekends fishing litter and garbage out of the river.They have found someitems including a radio，an iPhone and a complete motorcycle.

Raphael has more than 20，000 followers on social media.He has used his platform to encourage others to help clean the Seine.In October 2021，he received a（n）from the city for his efforts called The Medal of Paris.

Logan Ober，17

Last year，Logan's computer science teacher let him work on whatever he wanted.So，he decided to fix computers in their classroom.Since then Logan has fixed about ＄30，000 worth of computers.

Fixing computerse﹣waste，which is a growing problem across the world.Old computer parts contain materials that can cause harm.If they are notdealt with or reused，they can hurt people and the environment.

After repairing a computer，Logan gives it to a person or an organization.Many students in poor families cannota new computer.Thanks to Logan，students can get a used computer for free.

Brandy was an old dog. Her owner(主人) died , but the dog stayed near the house and didn't want .

Some of the neighbors left food out for Brandy. They thought the dog was , and even children weren't afraid of her.

One day, Brandy walked into the garden and began playing with 18—month—old Adam. The young mother didn't like the dirty dog at first. But seeing her son having fun with Brandy, she let her stay around.

Some time later, the mother left Adam in the garden the phone. When she came back, Adam was not there. She was afraid, so she called the police. They looked for Adam for hours, but didn't find him. All people felt .

Then someone said he heard some noise coming from the forest. So they all ran into the forest . Adam was asleep under a tree. Brandy was lying next to Adam there. 

What happened? Brandy followed Adam when she saw Adam leaving the garden. Seeing him in , she stayed with him all the time. 

Adam's mother was so thankful that Brandy her last days with them. After that, Adam's mother founded (创办) Pets Alive in New York. She can't help every animal, but she knows that everyone does something, pets will live a much better life.

I like Saturday and Sunday because I don't have to go to school. My father and mother don't go to ,either. We get up late at weekends. Then I have a little and milk at about half past eight. I often finish my Saturday morning. In the afternoon, I do some . I clean my room, and wash my clothes. Sometimes I go shopping with my mother or go to Shanghai Library with my friends. In the evening my family watch TV together and talk a lot about the TV programme (节目）On Sunday my parents and I go to see my grandparents ,but we go to concerts(音乐会）or parties. We have a good time at weekends.

There are many rules for Joe. She thinks some of are good. At home, she must get up early for. She to make her bed. At school, she can't arrive. She can't run in hallways. And she can't eat class. All these rules are okay because they are good for her. But there are some rules Joe doesn't . At home, she can't watch TV on weekends, She must do her homework all the time. She must read a book after dinner, and she can't talk with friends on wechat（微信）. On school days, she has to wear the school and she can't wear jeans（牛仔裤）. But she likes jeans she thinks they are cool. She can't listen to music in the art class but she thinks to music in the art class is OK.

In Thailand, a country full of rivers, river taxis are a good way to get. These boats act much like buses on the streets. People wait at a boat stop on the riverside. The boats to let people on and off. 

In some of Thailand's cities like Bangkok, street can be very bad. Using a river taxi can save a lot of . For example, many boats go up and down the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. Many of Bangkok's beautiful places are the river. So, taking a boat is a great way for visitors to that part of the city.

Do you think bears know who their brothers and sisters are？ Do you think they love them in the same way people do？

Every summer， bears eat a lot of salmon（鲑鱼）． The grizzlies（北美洲灰熊） stand in the water and use their front legs to feel the river． When they feel a salmon， they catch it with their feet， and then grab it with their teeth．

One young grizzly was having trouble． A hunter killed his mother and alsothe cub （baby bear） in the leg， so he could not fish． He tried and tried， but he never caught any salmon．

Stacy Corbin， a fishing guide in Alaska， about the cub ﹣ until he saw the cub's sister catch six salmon and put them near her brother's feet． While other cubs hunted， the sister stayed and looked after her brother． "She fed him for weeks，" says Corbin． Because of her， he lived．That really is love!
