Dear Lucy, 

I had a birthday party last Friday. I bought lots of things. I bought 21 apples, 17 bananas, 15 pears, 13 oranges and 12 bottles of juice at the supermarket. The party began at 6 o'clock in the afternoon. Lots of friends came to my party. There were 9 girls and 8 boys. But there were only 16 chairs. They all wanted to eat bananas. But there were only 16 bananas. Did I lose one? Oh no! There was one in the cat's mouth. Then I gave out the apples. We sang and danced. We had a good time.
