Last summer holiday I went to Qingdao with my parents. Qingdao is far from my home, so we went there by plane. It is a big and beautiful city. It was hot and sunny. We stayed in Qingdao for three days. We went to the beach and swam in the sea. We took lots of pictures    and ate delicious seafood. On the last day, I bought gifts for my friends in the shop. It was a tiring but happy holiday.

There was a frog. He lived in a well（井）. He had never left the well. He thought the sky was as big as the well.

One day, a bird flew to the well. The frog asked the bird, "Where do you come from?"

The bird said, "I come from the sky. I flew a long way and became thirsty, so I came down to get some water to drink."

The frog said, "Friend, don't lie（欺骗）to me! The sky is only as big as the mouth of the well. Why did you fly so far?"

The bird laughed and said, "You are wrong. The sky is big and endless（无边无际的）!"

The frog smiled and said, "My friend, I sit in the well every day. When I look up, I can see the sky. I can't make a mistake（错误）."

The bird also smiled and said, "My friend, if you don't believe me, jump out of the well and have a look."

The frog jumped out of the well. He was very surprised. He found that the bird was right. The sky was really big.

There are lots of interesting and beautiful places in China. I visited different places with my parents. Here are some photos from our holidays.

The 24th Olympic Winter Games were held in Beijing. I went there with my parents at that time. I visited the Palace Museum. It was the imperial（皇帝的）palace of China's Ming and Qing dynasties（朝代）.

This summer holiday I went to Taishan Mountain. It is the first of China's five great mountains（五岳）. It's more than 1,500 metres high. It took me 4 hours to climb the mountain. I watched the beautiful sunrise（日出）in the morning.

Last weekend I went to Hangzhou, and I visited the famous West Lake. I went boating on the lake, and rode bikes by the lake. How happy we were!
