A computer can do more than one thing at a time. A modern computer uses windows. It has more than one window open at a time. You can do a different thing on each window.

    In the future, computers will get smaller and work faster. There are already computers that you can hold in your hand. Mobile phones have computers in them and you can use them to send e-mails on the internet. Keyboards will disappear from computers. In the future, you will be able to talk to a computer. It will understand your voice and do what you tell it to do.

    Computer will get cheaper and will be used more widely than they are used today.

    My father often takes me to the zoo, because I like animals very much. It is winter. The days are getting cold. Many animals stay in their houses. The elephants are big. They like to eat vegetables and bananas. The bears are by the elephants. They are brown. They like to sleep in winter. I go to say hello to them, but I can't wake them up. There are many monkeys in the Monkey Mountain. They feel cold, and they hide in the holes. A mother monkey takes a baby monkey in her arms and makes it warm. The pandas are lovely. They stay in the warm house and eat nice food. Many other animals in the zoo are happy in winter.

    There was an old man known as the Foolish Old Man (Yu Gong). His house was in the big mountains. Two big mountains stood in front of his house. Every day, when he went to the farm, he had to take a lot of time to get out of the mountains.

    One day, Yu Gong called all his family together to talk about how to move the two mountains to other places. Then they began to break rocks and dig earth. They carried the rocks and earth in baskets to the seaside of Bohai.

    Later the Heavenly God, upon learning of Yu Gong's story, was greatly touched. He then ordered another god to come down and take the two high mountains away.

Saturday, 18th March

It was sunny today. Lily and I visited the Science Museum. It is far away from our homes, so we met at my house and went there by underground together.

We arrived at the museum at 9 o'clock. At the museum, we saw a lot of interesting things. We touched a wall, and it became a window. The robots there were amazing too!

We met some classmates and friends there. We learnt a lot about science.

We left the museum at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. We enjoyed ourselves very much.
