When you travel to different countries, you will find that people have different habits of telling you how to get to the place you want to go.
In Japan, people often use landmarks(地标).The Japanese may say to you,"Go along the road. Turn left at the big hotel and go past a fruit market.The post office is just across from the bus stop."
In Kansa, America, people will tell you directions(方向) and distance(距离). People will say,"You can get there easily.Go north two kilometers.Turn east,and it's on your left."
People in Greece sometimes do not give directions.A Greek will often say,"Follow me."Then he or she will take you to the place.
Sometimes if a person doesn't know the answer to your question, he or she might say,"Sorry, I have no idea."But in Yucatan, Mexico, no one answers,"I don't know."They usually give an answer, often a wrong one. A visitor can often get lost in Yucatan!
One thing will help you everywhere.You may not understand(理解) a person's words, but maybe you can know his or her body language. Only if her or she points in the right direction, go in that direction and you may find the place.
