It's difficult to learn a foreign language. When it comes to speaking the language, it can be extremely hard. I remember walking into my Spanish class at university only to (发现)that half of my class had mastered many languages.
At first I was afraid to have (交谈) in Spanish. Not only were my vocabulary and (语法)very limited, but I'd never spoken another language before. However, I decided to change myself. By using some simple strategies I have been able to build my confidence and make progress. Here are a few tips I'd like to (分享)with you.
Firstly, remember it's OK to make (错误) . When it comes to language learning, we often aim for perfection and feel as if we're not ready to speak until we have "enough" words or grammatical (知识). The truth is you will never feel ready, and instead it is important to use what you have to communicate what you can.
Next, don't compare yourself to others. This can be a hard one, (尤其)if you are in a large language class. It is important to remember that we all learn at different (速度) and through different learning styles. Keep up with your class material, but don't stress if you don't understand everything.
Something that really helped me progress was finding a language exchange (同伴). Finding someone to practice with who was (耐心的) and whose English was similar to my Spanish made me feel more confident.
Lastly, celebrate the small successes, focus on the progress you have already made and be proud of your achievements!
