Fredéric Francois Chopin was a world-famous pianist and composer. He was born on March 1st, 1810 in a village of Poland. His father, Nicolas Chopin, was a Frenchman and his mother, Tekla Justyna Krzyanowska, was a Pole.
Chopin received his earliest piano lessons not from his mother but from his sister. When he was six, Chopin played the piano very well and started to compose. At the age of seven, he began giving public concerts and composed two polonaises (a dance of Polish origin).
When Chopin was 20, he left Poland and finally stayed in Paris. When Chopin left his country, his friends gave him some Polish soil(土壤). He carried it around with him all the time. Chopin loved his country Poland, even though(尽管)he never went back there.
Chopin was not healthy, and he died in Paris in 1849.
