    Once there was a poor old man called Colonel Harland Sanders. He lived in a small house and had an old car. He was living off the social security (社会保障金). In his sixties, he thought things had to change, so he thought about what he had to do. His friends liked his chicken recipe (食谱) very much. He thought that it might help him to make a change.

    He left Kentucky and traveled to different states. He told restaurant owners that he had a mouth-watering chicken recipe and asked them if they would like to buy it. He would like to give the recipe to them for free, just asking for a small percentage

    With that one success, Colonel Harland Sanders changed the way Americans ate chicken. Kentucky Fried Chicken,also known as KFC, was born. Now it is the world's second largest restaurant chain.
