It was a sunny day, Jack bought a new car and was happily trying it. The car was good and there wasn't much traffic on the roads. Suddenly, a1shop caught his attention. He stopped his car and took a closer look at the flowers there. When he saw the 2"Mother's Day" card, he realized it was Mother's Day.
Jack thought about his loving mother who lived two hundred miles away. So he chose a nice bouquet (花束)of pink roses, signed the card and asked the shopkeeper to 3it express to his mother. Just before he got into his car, he noticed a girl standing outside the shop. She was 4the money in her hand. She seemed a little upset. Jack asked, "Can I help you?" She replied in a(an) 5voice," I want to buy some roses for my mother, but I don't have enough money. "
Jack asked her to go to the shop with him and bought a big bouquet of red roses for her. She thanked him. While leaving the shop, Jack offered her a ride. She was 6and her eyes were shining with happiness.
On the way, she told him that her mother was dead. So when they arrived, she ran to her mother's grave(墓地)and 7the flowers there.
Jack was silent for a minute. Then he made a U-turn immediately and drove back to the same flower shop to take the flowers. He decided to8 his mother.
Three hours later, he rang the door bell of the familiar house, the door opened, there stood an old lady, Jack's mother. He9his mother the bouquet and said, "I love you, Ma." She kissed him and asked, "Why did you drive down all the way? You could have10sent the bouquet to me." He understood this was a Mother's Love: mothers think only about their children's comforts.
