Guo Shugao is a mailman in Changsha, Hunan. Recently, he helped put out a fire in old neighborhood.

Clothes are important and necessary(必要的)to us, but do you know how to buy clothes in a right way? Here are some ideas for you.

When you go shopping and want to buy some clothes, you should think about which kind of clothes you really need and how much money you can spend on them. Then look at the labels that are inside the new clothes. They can tell you how to take care of the clothes. The labels for a shirt may tell you to wash it in warm water. A sweater label may tell you to wash it in cold water. The label on a coat may say "dry clean(干洗)only" . If you do as the directions(说明)say on the label, you can keep your clothes well for a long time.

Many clothes today must be dry-cleaned. Dry cleaning is a little expensive. When buying new clothes, you should check if they need to be dry-cleaned. You can save money if you buy clothes that can be washed in water or that are well made. Well-made clothes will look good even after you wash them for many times.

Clothes that cost more money don't always mean they are better made. They may not fit you, either. On the other hand, less expensive clothes may sometimes look better and fit you well.

    1. (1) The first thing for you to do before you buy clothes is to ____.
    2. (2) What does the underlined word "labels" mean in Chinese?
    3. (3) From the passage, a sweater may be ____.
    4. (4) ____ clothes look good even after you wash them for many times.
    5. (5) The main idea for the passage is ____.
  • 1. (2024七下·永州开学考)  阅读下面的材料,从每小题所给的A、B、C 三个选项中,选出最佳答案。

Good study habits(习惯) are important for all students. When you have good study habits, you'll learn faster.

Do you usually study in the living room? This is not a good place for study because it is usually too noisy. You need to study in a quiet place, such as your bedroom. A quiet place will help you learn better.

Before you begin to study, do not forget to clean your desk. It helps you study well, too. Light is also important. You'll feel tired easily if there is not enough light.

Of all the good study habits you can develop (养成), asking questions is the key. Just ask. No one knows everything, but we can always learn from each other by asking questions.

One easy but important habit is to tell yourself what you're studying for. Put your target(目标) on the wall next to your bed or desk That means you'll see and think about it every day.

When do you work best? Are you an early bird, a night owl (猫头鹰), or something in between? Find your most productive work time, and then plan to study at that time.

    1. (1) Why is the living room not a good place for study?
    2. (2) According to the passage, what should you do before you study?
    3. (3) Why should we put our targets on the wall?
    4. (4) What does the underlined word "productive" mean in Chinese?
    5. (5) What is the best title for this passage?
