Lu Xun

Lu Xun was a great Chinese writer. He wrote lots of stories. And he also wrote articles（文章）about Chinese people.

Lu Xun was born（出生）in a rich family in 1881. He had a happy childhood. In 1893,his father was ill. And the family met a lot of difficulties（困难）. These early experiences（经历）influenced（影响）his writing greatly.

In 1899, Lu Xun went to Nanjing to study at a university. In 1902, he studied in Japan. There, he began to write articles and many books. He went back to China in 1909.

He was a teacher in Beijing. After working for many years, Lu Xun wrote articles again. In 1918, he wrote a short story Diary of a Madman. It was the first novel（小说） written in the vernacular Chinese in China. It helped the novel make a great success（成功）. This, together with his novel The True Story of Ah Q, made Lu Xun a great Chinese writer.
