According to a report from United Nations Environment Programme(联合国环境规划署), the environment in Beijing is getting better and better.
The (负责人)of Beijing Municipal Government(北京市政府)said they had done a lot and taken many (科学的)steps to protect the environment. The (工业)that used to produce too much (有害的)air and water has already been closed down, such as some factories that produced (煤).
The citizens in Beijing have also done a lot to help protect the environment. They are trying to live a green life. When they are shopping, they bring their own bags instead of getting a(n) (塑料)bag. They divide the (垃圾)into things to throw away and things to (回收利用). They buy products that use less energy. Some kinds of light bulbs are good choices because they use less energy and (花费)less money. Many people also go to parks, stations and some other public places to pick up empty (瓶子). People have made progress in protecting the environment and they will keep on.
