The Mid-Autumn Festival is an important Chinese festival. It is on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar(阴历). In the evening, there will be a big family dinner. After dinner, people will light the lanterns (灯笼). The lanterns are in different shapes. Children will play with their own toy lanterns happily. At night, the moon is usually round and bright. Moon cakes are the special food for this festival. People can enjoy the moon and eat moon cakes.
